DIY Air Freshener
DIY Air Freshener
With Various Scent Combinations
I am presenting a very easy way to make an air freshener for your home that you can customize however you wish based on which essential oils or fragrance oils you choose. I will provide three combinations of oils you can use for various purposes and the basic recipe. Let your imagination soar with scent combinations and be creative. Experiment with combining scents and see how they smell together. You could look up diffuser blends on Pinterest for ideas.
DIY Air Freshener
- 7.5 ounces (or 15 Tbsp.) of distilled water (I get a gallon of this at my local grocery store for 88 cents)
- 2.5 ounces (or 5 Tbsp.) of witch hazel (can find in any local grocery or department store, usually for around $2.00)
- 40 to 45 drops of the essential oils or fragrance oils of your choice (Click here to go to Piping Rock and Click on the Essential Oils Section, and you will find a 12 bottle beginner's set of essential oils for a great price.)
Pick Me Up - Uplifting Air Freshener (Also gives your house a fresh, clean smell)
10 drops - Sweet Orange
10 drops - Lime
10 drops - Grapefruit
10 drops - Bergamot
Sleep Tight - Use as Linen Spray
10 drops - Lavender
10 drops - Chamomile
10 drops - Cedarwood
10 drops - Vetiver
Fall Scent - Apple Pie Scent
15 drops - Clove
15 drops - Ginger
15 drops - Cinnamon Bark
To Look for Other Scent Combinations:
Check Pinterest if you would like to check out other scent combinations. You can search for essential oil blends or diffuser blends, but you will have to adjust the number of drops to match the amount called for in the recipe. For example, if a recipe calls for 2 drops of 3 different scents, put 15 drops of each to equal 45 drops so it fits in this recipe.
